Training Your Horse
Training your horse is important if you want to do well
in shows. You start training your horse by going to the training area
on his page. Select a discipline to train the horse in and click train.
Horses can only enter shows that they are trained for.
This means that you cannot enter a hunter show unless your horse is trained
as a hunter.
How To Train
You train your horse by going to the Flash area on their page. Select
which event you want to train and slide the slider over to 100. This will
train your horse the most you can in an hour. Click "train"
and your energy will go to 0 and you will get 10pts under the training
column for the event you just trained. You will either have to feed your
horse now or go to the next day in order to be able to train him more
after this. You may also be able to train in the "training arena"
if you have more than 1 horse. You may train multiple horses at a time
by going to the Training Arena.
Training in the Arena:
Upgraded players can train multiple horses at a time for
free while Basic accounts are required to "rent" the arena to
train multiple horses. In order for a horse to be trained in the Arena,
you must make sure you have the "training list" option checked
on the horse's page and that they have energy. A horse with no energy
will not show up on the list to train.
What Events Should I Train My Horse For?
Horses also have events that they are naturally best at. In order to find
out what those events are, you will have to have the horse evaluated.
To do this, click on the link on your horse's page under the show results
section namedd "Training Analysis." This will tell you what
your horse woud do best in. The Training Analysis is always correct. If
your horse still doesn't perform well after being trained and shown in
its best events, then the horse's base stats are most likly poor and the
horse is just not very athletic. This is the type of horse you do not
want to breed with.
How Much and How Often Can I Train?
IMPORTANT!!! You get a limited amount of
days to train and perform other activities with your horses each Real
Life day. Each day you can ride/train each of your horses for up to 100
minutes. Each day has a limited number of hours that the minutes you use
on each horse uses up. When you run out of hours, you will need to advance
to the next day to be able to do more. The hour starts at 7am and you
cannot work past 7pm. You will see what time it is in the information
provided in the area where you train. When you have run out of time, the
training area will no longer be visible. To advance to the next day, click
on the Sleeping Sun.
Training Levels
Training DOES NOT make a horse move up in levels for showing. To find
out how a horse moves up levels in showing, please go to the "Showing"
page. When a horse goes to the next level of showing, they will need to
be at the same level in training in order to do their best. As a rule
of thumb, Level 1 shows are anything trained 1000pts and under. Level
2 is 1000pts - 5000pts. Level 3 is 5000pts -10000pts. And so on up the
levels.
